Part-time Accounts Assistant vacancy

Hours of work

Part-time 2 to 3 days per week (zero hours contract), 5 to 8 hours per day, between the hours of 0900-1700 Monday to Friday

Working days and hours have flexibility, and will be discussed on application

Job Description

Based at Bembridge Harbour Office, Duver Marina, The Duver, St Helens, Isle of Wight PO33 1YB

Part-time role assisting and reporting to the Accounts Manager

Skills required:

  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of Sage Accounting and Payroll software
  • Accounting qualification to minimum of book-keeping level (or relevant experience)
  • Work to a high level of accuracy
  • Professional confidentiality and discretion
  • Good communication skills and time-keeping

 Responsibilities (not an exhaustive list):

  • Invoice processing
  • Credit and debtor control
  • Maintaining purchase and sales ledger
  • Management of staff timesheets, payroll and pension scheme
  • Accounts reconciliation  
  • General office administration
  • Sales receipts processing
  • Updating and maintaining databases
