Bembridge Gig Fest
Saturday 10th & Sunday 12th July 2021
(rescheduled from 12th & 13th June)
For Gigs, Galleys and all types of traditional rowing boats - organised by Bembridge Harbour Authority and the Yarmouth Gig Rowing Club
This is a perfect excuse for traditional fixed seat rowing boats to head to Bembridge Harbour. There'll be some informal straight line racing (but without the originally advertised "Barbarian" fun racing, to avoid boat hopping between clubs), run by Brading Haven Yacht Club, and on Saturday evening, Quirky Woods Catering will be serving up a buffet feast (menu available here shortly) and JC's Fun Band will provide musical entertainment at the Duver Marina (St Helens), for Gig Fest participants and supporters.
Further details will be available soon and to be included on the event database for updates via email, please contact Fiona Thorpe: email@example.com An updated event poster will be available here shortly.
If you are a club representative, please register your interest by completing a Club Information Form and sending to Fiona as above.
Covid-19 safety measures and restrictions are in place across all Harbour sites. As with all event planning currently, this event is subject to Covid-19 restrictions in place at the time.
Alongside pontoon (rafted) berthing is free for rowing boats for the night of Saturday 10th July, but all are very welcome to arrive early and stay longer at a discounted rate! Berthing for support vessels will be at our standard tariff and should be booked online on advance.
